The design used on the Brandywine Regional Police vehicles was a joint effort by the police and graphic design artist Rich Milne of Tam Arte Design Studio in Downingtown. Traditionally police vehicles are white or two tone with black, however, officers wanted to remain with the dark blue color which they had been using for a couple of years. This design was chosen because it was bright, colorful and reflective. The design gives instant recognition to the vehicle as being a Police vehicle and acknowledges the Townships we serve.
The large numbers on the trunk lids and roofs enable aerial support to identify the police department quickly. This design has taken two first place finishes in "Best Police Vehicle" competitions. |
